LBE (Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology) The Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology is a research unit within INRAE’s Occitanie-Montpellier Research Centre, located in Narbonne. It is affiliated with the divisions TRANSFORM (pilot), AgroEcoSystem, and MICA. LBE is conducting research to expand the functional breadth of environmental biorefineries. This task involves creating greater value from residues, waste, organic effluent, and certain types of biomass by creating products of industrial appeal (e.g., bioenergy, biomolecules, organic soil amendments and fertilisers) while also minimising environmental and health impacts.
